THE INSPIRATION BEHIND OUR STORY

The brand story was inspired by an old donkey named Eeyore, and a wide-eyed wonder and care for all the big and small creatures of the sea.

 

5% of all income is given to:

Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary in a small village called McGregor where old Eeyore lives. For the story behind donkey treatment around the world:

"Demand for hide, used to make traditional ejiao, has raised the price and rate of slaughter of donkeys, endangering the livelihoods of those who rely on them. The demand for donkey hide is outstripping supply. Around 1.8m donkey hides are traded per year, while global demand is estimated between 4 to 10m skins, states the report.”
